I'm just starting with getting materials to build these along with my cat litter boxes and here are a few I have made already... Collard Greens: Chard: Not sure how they are gonna do because I started those seeds right in the bucket, they weren't started in a tray and transplanted later as I would normally do.

Where can a person find so many buckets? There are a few places I get mine... Walmart Deli, Lil Smokies Resturant, I even get some from dumpster diving at the school I work at only because they just can't give them to you they have to throw them out... I know crazy right?

All except the last one... it's a single bucket made like this... it uses an ice-cream bucket as the water reservoir.

Question. Do the double buckets stick together? I have had buckets do that but then they did so because the lack of venting created a suction. With these that is not a problem. But do they stick anyway?

Here to stay, mine do but it's not a real bother, but I have an air compressor and I just take an air nozzle and kind of stick it where the 2 buckets meet... give it a burst of air and they come apart real easy... hope this helps?

I guess now is the time to ask how these buckets fare in heavy rains.

daylilydude, nothing to do with containers but I do like the stone on your house, which I suppose, does contain you at times.

I guess now is the time to ask how these buckets fare in heavy rains. They have a drain hole maybe 4 inches or so from the bottom, they dont overfill.

You know spuds, my regular buckets, without all the fancy stuff, where I planted potatoes this year didn't overfill or splash out and we had some very heavy rains. I was concerned one day when it was pouring but they did fine.
